No-Knife Treatments That Really Make A Difference

No-Knife Treatments That Really Make A Difference

There once was a time when the only non-surgical way to attempt to turn back the clock was to rely on a face cream. Fortunately, those days are long gone and we’ve now got a host of far more effective options that can help us look like the best version of ourselves for longer – and none of them involve a knife!

Medical laser facials

Don’t underestimate the power of a medical laser facial. Three of our favourites include the CO2 (carbon dioxide), Pearl Fractional and Fraxel Dual lasers.

The CO2 laser is used for skin resurfacing and can help improve the look of deep lines and wrinkles, sun damage and scarring. It removes the outer layers of damaged skin and encourages the production of collagen.

As for the Pearl Fractional laser, it creates tiny pore-sized holes in the skin that acts like a ‘wound’ to be healed which stimulates your skin to ‘heal’ via producing collagen. It’s useful to improve the look of acne scarring and sun damage.

Both the CO2 and Pearl Fractional lasers can be used on your face, neck, chest and hands but aren’t suitable for very dark skin. The Fraxel Dual laser, however, is suitable for all skin colours and can be used on your body or face. It serves up dramatic results when it comes to treating wrinkles and pigmentation and has two settings that can be used separately or together. The first improves texture, improving the look of pores and fine lines, while the second minimises the look of wrinkles and acne scars while improving firmness.

The non-surgical nose job

Not everybody is a candidate, but it is possible to change the look of your nose without having to go under the knife. If you’ve got a flattened nasal bridge, a hump, a nasal tip that’s drooping or endured an injury that’s left you looking lumpy, you might be able to smooth and lift your nose’s profile via 3D Rhinoplasty.

Known as the non-surgical nose job, this in-office procedure can be done under local anaesthetic, takes as little as 30 minutes and requires minimal downtime. In fact, you could go straight back to work and hide any bruising, should it even occur, with make-up.

Depending on what you want to change, 3D Rhinoplasty involves injecting Restylane, a hyaluronic acid-based filler, to change the shape of the nasal bridge. Princess PDO threads straighten out the bridge and can lift the tip while a little Botox can help with the latter too.

The effect is semi-permanent but can be maintained by topping up the filler and Botox while the threads last up to two years.

The 3D Liquid Facelift

If you start early and do just a little here and there to maintain a young, fresh-looking appearance, you’re less likely to require something dramatic like a full face lift later on. In fact, you don’t have to endure a surgical face lift at all.

If you’re wanting to target wrinkles, restore volume and lift in way that’s subtle yet creates a visible improvement, consider a 3D Liquid Facelift. Much like 3D Rhinoplasty, the procedure is knife-free, can be performed in-office and requires almost no downtime.

A combination of non-surgical procedures, these include the use of Botox or Dysport that take care of the wrinkles, filler to plump things up and various threads to lift – namely Silhouette suspension sutures, Princess LFL anchor threads, PDO threads. Even the filler alone, if placed cleverly, can create a lift along the jawline.

In the hands of a highly-skilled aesthetician like those you’ll find at Skin Renewal, you’ll be able to look your very best for longer while saying no to the knife.
