African Women Artists Flex Their Stunning Illustrations Using the #VisibleWomen Hashtag
We're here for digital spaces that continue to give African women artists their due props.
Women artists from all over the world have been sharing their best work using the reoccurring hashtag, #VisibleWomen, on Twitter.
Created by artist Kelly Sue DeConnick in March 2016, #VisibleWomen originally was meant to highlight the work of women comic artists, as well as to respond to the notion that there aren't enough quality women artists to hire in the male-dominated industry, Daily Dot reports.
Since the internet is forever, the hashtag has continued to be the perfect space for women artists of all mediums to continue to shine, and we're of course obsessed with the African artists who tapped in this time around.
