British Prime Minister Theresa May wears Emmy Kasbit on official visit

British Prime Minister Theresa May wears Emmy Kasbit on official visit

The British Prime Minister Theresa May met with President Muhammadu Buhari after arriving in Abuja. Mrs. May, not usually known for her style, got a much-needed injection of Nigerian excellence as she met with the President wearing an Emmy Kasbit jacket.

The British Government announced that Theresa May would be making her first official trip to Africa. After visiting and dancing with children in South Africa, May travelled to Kenya and finally arrived in Nigeria in grand style.

May, whose outfits rarely strike a chord raised eyebrows with her stylish choice of outerwear. May was spotted wearing a jacket by celebrated Nigerian designer, Emmy Kasbit.

Kasbit, who was the lucky recipient of the Lagos Fashion Week, Fashion Focus Fund powered by FETS Wallet, has had an exceptional year.

After emerging the recipient of the Fashion Focus Fund, the judges said:

We found Emmy Kasbit to be the most eligible recipient for the grant. He is an exceptionally talented young designer who represents all the creative values Fets is keen to support. This award will accelerate his business growth which will take him on the path to achieving commercial success.” commented Adebimpe Adejumo (Head, Brand and Corporate Communications, FETS Wallet).

Down to Business

May met with Buhari at the Presidential Villa where they both witnessed the signing of the bilateral agreement on Defence & Security Partnership by Nigerian National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno and British Deputy National Security Adviser Christian Turner.

They also witnessed the bilateral agreement on Nigerian Trade Development by Nigerian Minister of State Budget & National planning Hajia Zainab Ahmed and British Minister of State for Trade Policy.
