Nigeria 1 Vs 0 Egypt Live: Paul Onuachu's goal just after 9 seconds gives Super Eagl a slim win

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are taking on the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

With the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers over, preparations for the tournament proper in June have begun.

For their first friendly game ahead of the tournament, the Super Eagles host Egypt who are without Mohammed Salah.

There also be few changes in the Super Eagles with the likes of John Ogu, and Paul Onuachu starting.

The game originally billed for 4pm has been shifted to 6 pm on the request of Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr.

Rohr was not please with the hot and sunny conditions of the 4 pm kickoff of the 3-1 win over Seychelles on Friday, March 22.

90+: Egypt miss a chance to level and a header goes over the bar for goal kick.

88mins: An Egyptian forward drives into the box but the Super Eagles defence hold firm to cleythe danger.

87mins: Egypt gets in a dangerous cross in Super Eagles box but it's cleared for a corner. The corner is cleared for another corner which is quickly taken but Ezenwa collects.

83mins: Chance for Egypt for Ezenwa makes a double save. First from a shot outside the area, an Egyptian player gets on the rebound but the Nigerian goalkeeper saves again.

81mins: Leon Balogun is caught out of position as the last man but he recovers to make a last-ditch tackle.

78mins: A Simon free kick gets over the wall but it's an easy catch for the Egyptian goalkeeper. On the other end, an Egyptian player gets to the ground after a challenge from Jamilu Collins but the referee waves away the appeal.

77mins: Onyekuru beats his man for pace again but his low cross inside the Egyptian box is cleared to safety.

74mins: Iwobi goes off for Oghenekaro Etebo and he exchanges handshake with his Arsenal teammate, Elneny who is in action for Egypt.

71mins: Onyekuru beats two men at the far corner and passes to Iwobi who could not get his foot properly on the ball.

69mins: The Egyptians get behind the Super Eagles defence twice but their crosses are cleared.

67mins: Semi Ajayi comes in for an injured John Ogu.

59mins: Ndidi rises high to meet a free kick but his header goes over the bar.

55: Onuachu carries the ball well into the Egyptian's box but a defender deflects for a corner.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa comes in for Akpeyi in goal.

Half time: Nigeria 1 Vs 1 Egypt. Super Eagles end the half the better team. They spent the last 10 minutes of the game passing the ball well to the delight of the crowd. The midfield combination of Ogu and Ndidi are keeping the ball and spreading it well.

30mins: Chance for Nigeria! An Egyptian defender fails to clear a ball, it falls to Iwobi who fails to connect with the ball properly.

Seconds later, the ball falls to Iwobi again and he passes to Onyekuru who is caught offside.

29mins: Egypt gets their first chance but a header from a cross is well over the bar.

26mins: Iwobi, Ndidi and Simon combine well but the Levante forward's cross did not connect. Nigeria playing some really good football against a solid Egypt team.

23mins: Moses Simon does well to beat his men but his follow up pass to Onuachu is poor.

20mins: Daniel Akpeyi comes out to collect a free kick into the Super Eagles box. The Egyptians passing the ball well but finding it hard to trouble the Nigerian defence.

12mins: Super Eagles playing some nices passes around and have threatened twice from corner kicks. Ndidi heads one wide but fails to connect with another.

6mins: The shell-shocked Egyptians are trying to get themselves together and seems to be getting on the ball well.

The Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba erupted as Onuachu receives a pass and drives a shot pass the goalkeeper.
