Beauty Resolutions To Consider As The Year Ends

At the beginning of the year, a lot of people made new year resolutions. The list may include diet and weight loss.

The year is way gone and this is the time to check and add skin care resolution because it is important to healthy living.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is important. It protects the skin against the harmful UV rays of the sun and slows aging. Apply it every day even when it’s raining, although it’s a dull day, the sun is still at work.

Don’t forget about your body

There is so much focus on the face and the body is always forgotten. Take care of the body and use body scrubs at least every month. Use salt as a natural scrub or visit a spa. Do not forget to moisturise.

Dealing with your skin in the harmattan

The rise in dry, scaly skin during the cold dry period of harmattan is normally a simple cure when using the correct techniques and products. Consideration of when to apply your preferred body or facial moisturisers can make all the difference in maintaining your skin’s suppleness throughout the day,  for maximum hydration  according to experts. Dermatologist advises patting your skin dry before slathering it in a rich moisturising lotion or ointment while it’s still damp.

Exfoliate more often

Dead skin cells build up and you must remove them. Moisturisers are good but you need to exfoliate. You can use homemade exfoliators or buy a preferred beauty product that suits your

Beauty Brush Care

We are aware of your possible thoughts regarding this beautiful resolution. But washing your makeup brushes does  not always have to seem like a pain because there are so many different ways to get your go-tos spotless. To prevent misshaped bristles after cleaning your brushes, experts advise squeezing out excess water with a paper towel and storing them upright in a container or brush belt.  Setting your brushes on an elevated cooling rack can enable the best airflow and hasten the drying of the brushes. As an additional suggestion, consider setting up a small, portable fan in front of them to hasten the drying process.

Do not use expired products

Expired products are not good for the skin. Drugs are not the only products that have expiry dates. Check for dates and discard them if they have been there for a long time. Also, check if the colour and smell have changed and discard them if they have. Using expired products may cause irritation.

Stick to one beauty product at a time

Many beauty products launch every day with the promise of its magic and how it will solve all beauty problems. Do not be tempted to change, there will always be another big thing.

Rather be patient and allow a beauty product to do its work before switching to another one.

Chapped skin

When it comes to preventing dry skin, remember to take care of your lips as well. Chapped lips are characterised by the peeling, fissuring, and cracking of the lip skin. These conditions are frequently uncomfortable and can be brought on by a variety of things, such as exposure to cold, dry air, windy conditions, and frequent or excessive lip-licking. Since the lips lack oil glands compared to other body parts, they are more prone to chapping and dryness. There is no need for anything extravagant; just moisturise with basic products like Vaseline jelly. The thin, sensitive skin of the lips is ideal for a moisturising occlusive ointment.
