Tope Alabi: Nigerians must vote wisely in 2023
Tope Alabi, a gospel singer, has urged Nigerians to obtain Permanent Voter Cards and vote wisely in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
She stated that if the electorates made the right choices and prayed to God ahead of the New Year, 2023 would be a glorious year for the country and its citizens.
According to a statement, Alabi made the call during an interview at a welfare program and Christmas outreach dubbed "Comforting Widows Hearts for Christmas" held on Tuesday in Lagos State's Abule-Egba area.
Mardebra Comforters Foundation, a subsidiary of Tope Alabi Gospel Vibes Limited, organized the event.
"My message to Nigerian Christians and the community is that we should vote wisely, pray to God very well, and get closer to God the more," Tope Alabi said at the event. We can see that the end is near. We have a lot going on, but all we really need is God.
"We should always do good. We should look for those in our community who require assistance and provide it. Most importantly, obtain your PVC and vote wisely and correctly. In the name of Jesus, I believe that 2023 will be a glorious year for us.
"What motivated me to do this thing is not only me," the gospel minister said of the program's motivation. It's just my husband and me. We were inspired by the idea that when you are close to God, you will know what you are supposed to do. When you observe your fellowship, you pray, and then you ask God, "What do you want me to do?" every day. What would you like me to do? That's the first.
"Two, you should understand that taking care of others is good for you. It is not just about those people. It's all about you. It concerns your life. You will do what God wants you to do once you know what it is."
