Why we cannot expose Boko Haram sponsors – Nigerian Army.

The Nigerian Army has stated that it is not their responsibility to expose those sponsoring Boko Haram in the country.

John Enenche, the Coordinator of Defense Media Operations, stated this at a media briefing on Thursday.

Enenche admitted that the Army knows that some criminal groups have heavy financial backing, but its major task is to fight “terrorism and other criminality”.

The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS) were in charge of revealing the sponsors, he stated.

"It is not the military's responsibility to find the sponsors.

"Our job is to be on the front lines and fight terrorism and other forms of criminality, and we're doing just that."

"We have the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the State Department" (DSS). "It is their responsibility, not the military's, to gather intelligence on terrorist sponsors," Enenche insisted.
