When she took to the stage to demonstrate her dancing skills before announcing her withdrawal from the presidential race, she held delegates, party supporters, and millions of viewers spellbound.
At the three-day national convention, which took place at Eagle Square, the legal icon and media mogul was one of seven APC aspirants who stepped down for the eventual winner, Bola Tinubu.
Senator Godswill Akpabio, former Minister of the Niger Delta; Ibikunle Amosun, former Governor of Ogun State; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Dimeji Bankole, former Speaker of the House of Representatives; Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa; and Senator Ajayi Boroffice, former Minister of the Niger Delta.
Many Nigerians expressed disappointment when she announced her withdrawal from the race after her graceful solo dance performance.
