Top nominees for the NET Honours People's Choice Awards include Wizkid and Simi.

The NET Honours People's Choice Honors nominees were revealed during the week for the sixth iteration of these audience data-based awards.

This year's edition has 35 categories, including 15 new voting categories that will give fans greater power to vote their favorite superstars for the awards, according to a statement from ID Africa, the publication's proprietors.

Wizkid and Simi, two prominent artists, are the top two nominees for the NET Honors Class of 2022, both receiving four nominations.

Wizkid earned nominations for Most Popular Music Artiste (Male), Most Searched Music Artiste (Male), Most Popular Fandom (Music), and Most Watched Video.

Simi received nominations for the following categories: Most Popular Female Musician, Most Searched Female Musician, Most Popular Fandom (Music), and Most Popular Couple, earning her the artist with the most nominations for the second time in two seasons after receiving six nods in 2021.

For the categories of Most Popular Music Artiste (Male), Most Searched Music Artiste (Male), and Most Popular Fandom (Music), Davido and Burna Boy each received three nominations.

Mr. Macaroni, Sabinus, Kiekie, Taaooma, and Broda Shaggi are among other notable nominees. She received two nominations each for Most Popular Comedian and Most Popular Social Content Creator.
