Tinubu deserves to succeed Buhari, says Yoruba actors
Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate, gained support on Wednesday when Yoruba Nollywood celebrities publicly backed the former governor of Lagos State.
The actors noted that because of his backing of the film industry, practitioners, and the influence of the former governor throughout the nation, their support for the APC national leader had become crucial.
The actors made their position known in a video clip shared by a veteran actor, Yinka Quadri, where some of his colleagues took turns to endorse Tinubu’s candidacy.
Those featured in the video clip were Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, Fausat Balogun, Taiwo Hassan, Femi Adebayo, Shola Kosoko, Faithia Williams, Saheed Balogun, Murphy Afolabi, and Eniola Ajao among others.
In the one minute-thirteen second’s video clip which is said to be from the League of Actors, the the spians who took turns to speak in Yoruba, justified why Tinubu deserved to succeed Buhari.
Sharing the video clip on his Instagram page, Yinka Quadri noted that it was the South-West region, particularly the Yoruba people’s turn to become president.
He claims that Tinubu can bring the nation together by bridging regional, racial, and religious divides.
