Cristiano Ronaldo will not complete his career in Saudi Arabia, according to Al-Nassr manager Rudi Garcia, and will play again in Europe.

Ronaldo left European football at the end of last year when Manchester United canceled his contract following a contentious television interview in which he launched a scathing assault on the Red Devils and their coach, Erik ten Hag.

The Portugal international also had a poor showing in the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar in November and December 2022.

According to his club's French manager, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner who signed a two-year contract with Al-Nassr may return to Europe.

Garcia described the 37-year-old as a great acquisition who still has vitality to show in Europe before hanging up his boots.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a good addition because he helps to spread out defenses," Garcia added. "He is one of the world's top players," Garcia added.

"He will not complete his career in Al-Nassr; instead, he will return to Europe."

Ronaldo made his competitive Al-Nassr debut in a 1-0 win against Al-Ettifaq after a friendly match against Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain.

His second outing did not provide a result, as his team was defeated by Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup on Thursday.

Ronaldo was chastised after the game for missing a golden opportunity just before Al-Ittihad scored their second goal.

“One of the things that changed the course of the match was Cristiano’s missed opportunity in the first half,” Garcia said.
