Tinubu appoints new CEOs for CAC, NEPZA, NIPC, ITF, others

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new Chief Executive Officers, CEOs, of several agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

According to Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the appointments are in accordance with his determination to build Nigeria's economic resurrection on the foundation of trade development through small, medium, and large-scale industry facilitation in the country.

Hussaini Ishaq Magaji (SAN) of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin of the Industrial Training Fund, Kamar Bakrin of the National Sugar Development Council, and Olufemi Ogunyemi of the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority, are the new CEOs.

Others are Nonye Ayeni of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Aisha Rimi of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, Bamanga Usman Jada of the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, and Charles Odii of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria.

The President also named Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke as CEO of the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Rabiu Olowo as CEO of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), and Anthony Atuche as CEO of the Nigeria Commodities Exchange (NCE).

"Veronica Safiya Ndanusa, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board, TBSMB, and Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, National Automotive Design and Development Council, NADDC."

According to the statement, "in light of his administration's Renewed Hope Agenda, President Bola Tinubu expects all new appointees in this critical sector to optimally deliver in accordance with new key performance indicating benchmarks as established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment."

"By this directive of the President, all of the above listed appointments take immediate effect."
