Wike Came Against Me In Rivers, I Won More Than 50% – Peter Obi
Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, said that Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike ran against him in the recently ended presidential elections.
He said that if the true votes in Rivers state were counted by INEC, he would have won more than 50% of the vote.
The former Anambra State Governor made the comment on Monday during an appearance on Arise Television's Morning Program.
He said that individuals of many ethnic backgrounds voted for him in the February 25 presidential election.
Obi also criticized those who claim the votes he got in Lagos were mainly from the Igbos.
“Some people said he got votes in Lagos because of Igbos. How many Igbos live in Lagos? I got more votes from indigenous people in Lagos than those you can call visitors.
Is it Igbos who voted for me in Nasarawa, Plateau and Abuja? In Rivers where you know that the governor came out against me in everything if the real votes in Rivers were counted, I won more than 50% in the State,” Obi said.
