Davido’s aide Isreal DMW apologized to the Muslim community over controversial video
Isreal DMW, Nigerian singer Davido's logistical manager, has officially apologized to the Muslim community over the viral video.
It is generally known that Davido has faced widespread and severe criticism for releasing a music video for a song titled “Jaye Lo” by his signee, Logos Olori.
Logos Olori is shown on a building singing and moving his hands in prayer, while other Muslims were seen below dutifully doing Solah and dancing.
The video did not sit well with Muslims, who began canceling Davido's tweets and even prevented his music from being played in public in northern Nigeria.
Following complaints that accompanied the video of his new signee Logos Olori, Davido yields to pressure and deletes the music video from his social media platforms.
Following Davido's recent development, Muslims in Maiduguri gathered and began burning a banner with musician Davido's portrait, demanding that he issue a public apology.
In response to this, Isreal DMW, via his official Instagram page, pleads the Muslim community, noting that his boss Davido's song video was an entertainment endeavor that was misrepresented.
Isreal DMW stated in the special apology post that Davido was merely trying to do what he does best by boosting someone up.
Isreal DMW wrote about his affection for the Muslim community.
“Let me specially apologise to my Muslims brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
