#All Eyes On The Judiciary: We have trust in judiciary – Abure, LP Nat’l Chairman

Barrister Julius Abure, National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has reiterated the party's confidence in the court to render the appropriate decision in advance of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal's (PEPT) judgment.

At the inauguration of the Local Government Areas, or LGAs, Caretaker Committees, and the presentation of the LP's 2023 major projects on Sunday in Lagos, he made this statement.

Abure praised Lagos residents for rejecting tribalism in favor of a new Nigeria by turning out en masse to support the party during the state's most recent general elections.

The chairman of the LP said that the All Progressive Congress, APC, had illegally taken the mandate that Nigerians had freely given to his party, but he was clueless about how to run the country.

"APC has murdered sleep, and they won't let us sleep again until they give us back the mandate they stole from us," he said. Our mandate was stolen, but they are unsure of what to do with it. They are making life difficult for Nigerians because they have no concept how to run the country.

"The many problems the ruling party has thrown the nation into can only be solved by Peter Obi and the LP. We are prepared to take the reins and will prove to Nigerians that we can provide a superior option. The path toward a new Nigeria has just begun, and we have faith that the court will act properly.

Abure highlighted that the LP's involvement in the most recent general elections altered the political landscape of the nation while urging the offended members to put down their swords and cooperate with the state administration in the benefit of the party.

Pastor Dayo Ekong, the party's chairman in Lagos, had earlier urged the newly elected LGA and ward executives to view their swearing-in as a sacred commitment to advance the party and serve the public.

Ekong challenged them to put out their best effort and devotion in order to bring about the required transformation. She believed that the new Nigeria that the Labour Party would soon create would benefit everyone.

She emphasized the value and necessity of cooperation, noting that only through cooperation would they be able to accomplish the goal set by the party.
