The Bauchi State House of Assembly has approved a supplementary budget of N96.676 billion for 2024.
The clearance came after the House Committee on Appropriations adopted its report in plenary.
The supplementary budget intends to fill holes in the basic 2024 budget by addressing changing economic conditions and allocating funding for unforeseen expenses.
It also provides additional funding for existing and future development projects around the state.
The Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, Habibu Umar, proposed
MDAs are required to report their performance on a regular basis, and poor revenue lines may be excluded from the 2025 budget.
Umar also proposed that the House give a letter of recognition to the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Transportation for their great presentation.
