DJ Electra Embraces Stage Freedom, Says She's Making a Statement on African Creativity
Faith Stevens, popularly known as DJ Electra, has opened up about her on-stage performances where she removes her shirt, leaving only her brassiere, to express her sense of freedom. Stevens made this bold statement while performing at the African Creatives Global Market event on Victoria Island in Lagos.
Speaking to our correspondent, she said, "Stop it, I enjoy it. Well, I'm trying to make the world aware that what happens in New York can happen in Africa. Because you are free there, but they do not believe we are free here. So we want the rest of the world to know that we, too, can be like this."
When asked how she would feel if her videos or pictures went viral, Stevens confidently responded, “Let them go ahead, it means I am free. I love it, let them go ahead.”
Previously, DJ Electra had opened up about her struggle with epilepsy in an interview with Saturday Beats, revealing that her condition inspired her to stand out and embrace her uniqueness.
