Former Napoli striker Emanuele Calaio claims that Antonio Conte chose Romelu Lukaku over Victor Osimhen because of the Belgian's leadership abilities.

Conte was appointed as manager of the former Serie A champions this summer.

One of his first decisions was to keep Osimhen out of the first team.
Despite interest from Chelsea and Saudi Arabia, Osimhen finally agreed on a season-long loan with Galatasaray.

"Osimhen is stronger than Lukaku, but Conte clearly chose the Belgian because he is a locker room man and a leader," Calaio told Napoli Magazine.
