Nigeria's Flamingoes arrive in the Dominican Republic for FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup preparations.

Nigeria's Flamingoes have landed in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to complete their final preparations for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

The contingent, which included 21 players, technical crew members, and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials, arrived in Santo Domingo on Thursday afternoon.

They flew out of Nigeria on a Turkish airliner from Abuja's Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday.

Bankole Olowookere's team is expected to train in Santo Domingo for two weeks before the start of the competition.

The Flamingoes are placed in Group A alongside hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.

The West Africans will face New Zealand in their first match on Wednesday, October 16.

The Dominican Republic will host the competition from October 16 to November 3.
