U-17 WWC: Flamingos must learn to handle pressure, says Olowookere
Bankole Olowookere, the Flamingos' head coach, admits that his squad faces high expectations at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
The Nigerian girls are now in Santo Domingo, practicing for the competition.
Olowookere's team was held to a 1-1 draw by Mexico in a friendly match on Monday.
The Flamingos finished third in the last edition of the competition, which was hosted by India.
Much will be expected of the club this time around, and the manager stressed that he will prepare his players for the work ahead.
“We know expectations are high, and my technical crew and I are working hard to prepare the girls to handle that pressure,”Olowookore told Brila FM.
