South Africa's Precious Moloi-Motsepe, champion of African fashion

South African Precious Moloi-Motsepe, one of Africa's wealthiest women, is a fervent supporter of the continent's young, vibrant, and culturally varied fashion designers.

Style has run through her veins since she was a little child growing up in the Soweto slum, and she believes the time is right for "African designers to shine" on a global scale.


She launched the Johannesburg and Cape Town fashion weeks a decade and a half ago, bringing together designers from all over the continent with the goal of preparing them for worldwide success.
