Former US President Barack Obama has revealed his much-anticipated annual playlist, which includes his favorite music from 2024.

According to a post on his verified X account, this year's playlist features a varied mix of musicians and genres, with Nigerian music icons Rema and Asake making prominent appearances.


"These are my favourite songs from this year! Check them out if you want to change up your playlist, and let me know if you have any recommendations for songs or artists I should listen to," he stated.

Rema’s hit single “Yayo” secured a spot on the playlist, reinforcing his global appeal and highlighting the rising influence of Afrobeats.

Asake’s collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott, “Active,” also made the list.
