Nigerian music star Timaya has opened up about his reasons for remaining unmarried, attributing his stance to personal preference and a dislike for stress.

Speaking in a recent interview with Naija FM, the Plantain Boy crooner candidly shared that he has never been drawn to the idea of marriage but admitted that his perspective could change in the future.

“I’ve never been a married guy right from time, but it can change because marriage ‘dey craze’? I just look at it like if I marry today, would I be able to get out? In all my previous relationships, I was the one who got out because I don’t like stress,” he said.

Timaya emphasized the importance of clear communication in relationships, explaining that he values transparency and dislikes unresolved issues.

“If you have a problem with me, let’s talk about it because I don’t like going to bed thinking about things, I go die o. I don’t like anything to bother me at all,” he added.

On fatherhood, Timaya revealed that his children live with their respective mothers, but they share a close bond. He described being a father as both challenging and rewarding, highlighting his commitment to spending quality time with his kids during their visits.

Despite not being romantically involved with his children’s mothers, Timaya maintains a respectful and cooperative relationship with them.
