Carlo Ancelotti Stands by His Penalty Takers Despite Mbappe’s Recent Misses
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has firmly backed his designated penalty takers, despite Kylian Mbappé’s recent penalty woes. After Mbappé missed his second penalty in just one week, contributing to Los Blancos’ 2-1 defeat to Athletic Club, Ancelotti reaffirmed that he will not be changing his penalty takers.
The trio of Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappé, and Jude Bellingham remain the club’s first-choice penalty shooters, according to the Italian manager. This comes after Mbappé’s earlier miss in Real Madrid’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool in the Champions League.
"No changes," Ancelotti said after the La Liga setback at San Mames. "Our penalty shooters are Mbappé, Vini and Jude. Whoever shoots is good."
Ancelotti’s steadfast support for his players underlines his trust in their abilities and his belief in their consistency, even when faced with recent setbacks.
