It is not in my character to abuse past governments - President Tinubu

In the midst of Nigeria's ongoing socio-economic and security challenges, President Bola Tinubu has taken a firm stance, emphasizing action over blame. Speaking at the flag-off of the Agric Mechanisation Revolution for Food Security in Minna, the Niger State capital, President Tinubu reiterated his commitment to steering the nation towards progress through strategic reforms and fiscal responsibility.

Addressing a gathering that included governors and agriculture enthusiasts, President Tinubu made it clear that assigning blame to past administrations is not his style. Despite criticism from some members of his cabinet attributing the current challenges to previous administrations, President Tinubu emphasized his dedication to implementing the necessary reforms to set Nigeria on a path to prosperity.

"When you read the papers, some of us are confused whether to abuse the present or the past (governments) or make excuses for the future," remarked President Tinubu. "It's not in my dictionary," he added, underscoring his focus on immediate action and financial restructuring to address Nigeria's pressing issues.

Acknowledging Nigeria's myriad challenges, including mass kidnapping, inflation, forex crisis, and economic hardship exacerbated by the removal of petrol subsidy, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of perseverance and consistency in nation-building. "Those who may be complaining now have to understand that perseverance and consistency will make a nation great," he affirmed.

President Tinubu's remarks reflect a proactive approach to governance, prioritizing tangible solutions over political finger-pointing. As Nigeria navigates these turbulent times, his commitment to re-engineering the nation's finances and steering it towards sustainable progress offers a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.
