Outrage: MC fails to acknowledge Peter Obi at Herbert Wigwe's wake

At the wake for the late Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings, the Master of Ceremony (MC) was chastised and booed by attendees for failing to recognize the presence of Peter Obi, Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

Dignitaries, guests, well-wishers, and loved ones of the late Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings, have gathered in Omueke, Isiokpo village, Rivers State, for his Christian wake, during which he, his wife, and son will be remembered.
Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, and their eldest son Chizzy perished in an aircraft crash in the United States approximately a month ago. Although the Wigwe family's funeral rites began earlier this week, dignitaries have begun to assemble in Rivers State in preparation for their own celebrations.

A widely shared video showed the MC addressing other notable participants during the ceremony, but not Peter Obi.
The crowd's rage shifted to booing, leaving the MC surprised and bewildered. It wasn't until later that he recognized his error and publicly apologized to Peter Obi for his irresponsibility.

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Siminalyi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, and Tonye Cole, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State for 2023, were among those who paid their respects ahead of Saturday's burial service.
