Ganiyu Oyeyemi, often known as Ogunjimi, a Nollywood icon, died, putting the Nigerian film industry in mourning.
According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the news of the veteran Yoruba actor broke via social media on Friday.
Kunle Afod, a fellow Yoruba performer, made the sad announcement on his Instagram page.

In his homage, Afod stated, "We did our best, but God loves you more.

"May his soul rest peacefully. "Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo."

At the time of writing, the cause of death had not yet been determined.
