Why Ronaldo is motivation to other players – Arsenal Winger Saka

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has praised Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo for his dedication to the sport.

The Al Nassr hero is one of the game's best goal scorers, with 885 senior career goals for club and country in 1,200 professional games, and Saka feels the 39-year-old's goal-scoring skill inspires many other sportsmen.

"He was the ultimate example of that. "He just exploded and became a goalscoring machine, and I believe he inspired a lot of players to try to follow in his footsteps," Saka told The Mirror.

Saka revealed that, like Ronaldo, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has set a task for him to become a player who can handle 60-70 games every season with ease.

"He [Arteta] told me the elite players all do it, so if I want to get to that level, I have to be ready to play that many games and try and help my team win each of those games as well," he said.

The 22-year-old has made remarkable headway in that pursuit, having made 200 Arsenal appearances and scored 50 senior goals. He also has 32 Three Lions caps.
