Boniface rules out Leverkusen exit

Victor Boniface, Bayer Leverkusen's brilliant forward, has refuted suggestions that he may leave the club despite interest from a number of big European clubs, according to TalkTalk Nigeria Sports Extra.

Despite ties with West Ham, Napoli, and Newcastle United this summer, the Nigerian attacker is still dedicated to Leverkusen.

He stated his desire to contribute to the club's continued success on the field.

Xabi Alonso's team won their first German crown with five games to spare, but they are aiming for the first unbeaten season in Bundesliga history, and they are on track with three games remaining.

Leverkusen will also face Serie A club Roma in the Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday, as well as Kaiserslautern in the German Cup final on May 25, with the hopes of completing a treble this season.

"My current focus is solely on Leverkusen, and I'm hoping to help the team reach new heights," Boniface told AFP.

Following Leverkusen's historic Bundesliga victory, in which they became the first team since Borussia Dortmund in 2011/12 to dethrone Bayern Munich, Boniface is excited to represent the club in the prestigious competition.

"It will undoubtedly stand as one of my proudest moments ever," he went on to say.

Boniface, 23, has been instrumental in Leverkusen's undefeated streak this season, helping to keep the club in top form.
