Davido Shower Praises On Chioma Amid His Banter With Wizkid

Amidst a violent feud between two of Nigeria's most popular artists, Davido and Wizkid, the former has taken to Instagram to compliment his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland.
Since Monday, April 29, Davido and Wizkid, who are considered arch-rivals in the Nigerian music industry, have been battling it out on respective verified X accounts.
Wizkid apparently began the internet feud when he decided to react to a fan's request for a new music video with a viral video of Davido pleading Chioma on his knee after he allegedly cheated on her.


The "Ojuelegba" singer followed that up with further disparaging remarks against Davido and even Peruzzi, who attempted to fight for the "Fall" hitmaker.

As expected, Davido launched multiple shots at Wizkid, even claiming that his career was over.

This drama began on Chioma's 29th birthday, but it did not prevent her and her husband from celebrating the occasion on social media.

On Monday, Davido released a video of Chioma via X, showing her arriving at a holiday resort while he wished her happy birthday. She reposted the video and also uploaded another video in which she had fun with the musician. She captioned it: "Still my day… pure joy with my best friend".

Earlier today, April 30, Davido rushed to Instagram to praise Chioma, calling her as a "queen" and his "rock".

Davido posted, "Happy birthday to my Queen!!! Your strength and elegance inspire me every day! 🎉 Thank you for always being my rock and helping me drown out the cacophony with your love. Here's to more joy, laughing, and beautiful music in our lives. I adore you until infinity!!! ❤️❤️ #ChiomaDay".
