Victor Boniface, the Bayer Leverkusen forward, thinks his Bundesliga Rookie of the Season title is for the fans.


The Bundesliga announced Boniface as the recipient of the award on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old praised his followers in a post on X soon after being proclaimed the winner, writing, "9ja no dey carry last." "Thank you, guys."


Boniface defeated Xavi Simons, Ian Maatsen, and Maximilian Beier for the individual title.

The Nigerian has scored thirteen goals and provided nine assists in 22 league games for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
