EPL: Tuchel’s favourite Premier League club to join revealed

According to former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel would like to return to Chelsea rather than take over as manager of Manchester United this summer.

Tuchel will depart Bayern Munich at the end of this season.


The German has been extensively linked with a move to Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag struggles to keep his post.

When discussing Tuchel's future with Betfred, Johnson said:

"It's difficult to talk about a manager coming into a job that I would like Mauricio Pochettino to keep," Johnson told Betfred when questioned about Tuchel's future.

"However, if we look at Thomas Tuchel's perspective, he'd undoubtedly choose the Chelsea position over the Manchester United one.

"Chelsea is another club that should be competing, but they aren't and are a long way away right now.

"With the players they've got, they should be doing more and if Tuchel had the option, I believe he would pick Chelsea over Manchester United."
