Cole Palmer Credits Mauricio Pochettino For Chelsea Run This Season

Cole Palmer, Chelsea's standout player this season, has credited the club's controversial coach, Mauricio Pochettino, for the club's Premier League success.

Cole Palmer has been Chelsea's bright light in terms of goals and assists this season, despite the club's ups and downs.
In September 2023, the 22-year-old English offensive midfielder transferred from Manchester City to Chelsea for a sum of £40 million. In 33 Premier League games, he has scored 22 goals and assisted 10 times.

These statistics have helped Chelsea jump from the 12th to the 6th rank, a run that has alleviated the strain on coach Mauricio Pochettino, who was suffering criticism from some Chelsea fans.

If Chelsea beat Bournemouth in their final Premier League game of the season, they will finish sixth and qualify for the Europa League.

In an interview with Chelsea's official website, Cole Palmer, who is hoping to win Premier League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season accolades, said, "For it to be in our hands to finish sixth is huge for us.

"I hope we can do it. Chelsea is a large club; everyone wants to finish higher than sixth, but we must consider where we were at the start of the season and throughout the season.

Cole Palmer remarked, "We've finished 13th and 12th this season." Last season was the same, so to get back into Europe is a step in the right direction.

Last season was the same, so returning to Europe is a positive step forward.

"Big credit to the manager because all of the players love him; we have to fight for him. It's been a good season, and maybe we'll get European football at the end of it."
