Ronaldo set to play in record sixth Euros
Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal's captain, is scheduled to compete in a record sixth European Championship.
The 39-year-old has been named to the 26-man roster for this summer's event in Germany.
Ronaldo previously shared the record for five European Championships with Iker Casillas, Spain's renowned goalie.
"It's preferable to discuss Cristiano's data. He is a player who has 42 goals in 42 games for his club, demonstrating his consistency and physical ability to stay fit, as well as the skill he possesses in front of goal, which we value and require," Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez stated.
Ronaldo has 128 international goals, making him the all-time top scorer in men's competitions.
