Depends on the president — Napoli star forward's agent confirms offer from PSG

The agent of Napoli's star player provided a fresh update on his clients future.

The agent of Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Mamuka Jugeli, has confirmed that there's indeed an offer on the table for the Georgian winger from PSG, pending acceptance; however, he denied any interest from Saudi Arabia-based clubs.

What he said

In planning for Kylian Mbappe's exit, the Parisians identified Napoli's duo of Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen as targets to strengthen their squad.

To land Osimhen, they only need to trigger the €130 million release clause; however, acquiring Kvaratskhelia is much more complicated, as the former Dinamo Batumi man has a contract with the Partenopei until 2028, without such a clause as the one in Osimhen's deal.

PSG will have to negotiate with Napoli's president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, who has previously expressed a keen desire to keep Kvaratskhelia beyond the summer, and he tends to be true to his words.

Speaking to La Gazzetta.ge, Jugeli confirmed that PSG have crystallised their interest and have tabled an offer to Napoli for the winger, awaiting a response. He also dispelled rumours claiming that Saudi clubs have their eyes on his client.

“Saudi Arabia’s interest in Kvaratskhelia is not true. There is interest and an offer from PSG; everything depends on the decision of Napoli and its president.”

After a disappointing title defence with the Partenopei, in which they finished the season 10th, Kvaratskhelia will be looking ahead, as in a few weeks, he'll be leading Georgia’s EURO 2024 ambitions.
