Abdullahi Biffo, Sporting Lagos' head coach, has disclosed that he has a particular bond with midfielder Chinedu Ufere.

Biffo and Ufere previously worked together at Kwara United in the 2018-19 league season.

He mentioned that he nearly lost the lively midfielder to other teams after his impressive trials.
"My first meeting with Chinedu Ufere he have a look of a good footballer so we agreed on him playing five minute in a friendly tournament in Asaba," Biffo said on the website of Sporting Lagos.

"We agreed on five minutes, but he ended up playing 90 minutes and was named Man of the Match in the game.

"Even after that match, I almost lost him because every club in the competition wanted him, but he eventually signed for me at Kwara United then.”
