Rubi Rose clarifies her age after saying she was 16 when she became video vixen
Controversial Rubi Rose, an American rapper and model, has withdrawn her claim that she was 16 when she became a video vixen.
Rose became well-known after appearing in the music video for Migos' 2016 hit track 'Bad & Boujee'.
On a recent episode of the Joe Budden podcast, the rapper stated that she was 16 at the time.
"Migos' 'Bad and Boujee' was the first video I ever made. "I think I was 16 or 17 when I made the video," she recounted.
Her statements drew criticism because the legal age of consent in America is 18, and many people wondered why an underage girl was cast as a vixen in an adult music video.
Rose responded to the controversy by clarifying that she was 18 when she appeared on the video, not 16, as claimed on the podcast.
"I was 18 in the bad and boujee video, my bad y'all," she posted on X.
