Chris Brown would’ve been today’s Michael Jackson – Fat Joe

Fat Joe, a legendary American rapper, has stated that Chris Brown would have been on the same level as the late "King of Pop," Michael Jackson, if he had not gotten into a fight with his then-girlfriend Rihanna in his early career.

In a recent episode of his 'The Biggest Fat Joe' podcast, the hip-hop great lauded Chris Brown as the most accomplished vocalist, songwriter, and performer of his generation.

Fat Joe stated, "If Chris Brown hadn't gotten into the mess with Rihanna, we'd be calling him Michael Jackson right now. He is the most gifted vocalist, artist, performer, and songwriter of our time. Nobody even comes close to Chris Brown.

"And it's time to move on [from his feud with Rihanna]. It has been more than 20 years, and there has been no similar event against him. What I'm trying to convey is that it's unfortunate that we're lying and not handing it over to the King of R&B."

TalkTalk Nigeria recounts that Chris Brown was blacklisted by many music fans, particularly in the Western world, in 2009 when his then-girlfriend Rihanna accused him of physically assaulting her.
