AFN lists Amusan, Brume, Enekwechi, 37 others for African Athletics Championship
The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has announced the names of 40 athletes who will compete for the country at the 2024 African Senior Athletics Championship in Douala, Cameroon.
Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, the women's 100m hurdles world record holders, lead the list.
Other famous names on the list are Favour Ofili, Favour Ashe, and Chidi Okezie.
All of the participants qualified for the competition at the Nigerian Athletics trials held in Benin City, Edo State this week.
The 2024 African Senior Athletics Championship will take place from Friday, June 21 to Wednesday, June 26.
The participants are expected to use the competition to prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
