Tommy Setford, the Ajax goalkeeper, is ready to join Arsenal on a shock trade.

According to football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal has made the initial offering to Ajax for the 18-year-old.

Romano said that Setford is also interested in joining the Premier League North London team.

"Arsenal make their initial offering to Ajax for 18-year-old goalkeeper Tommy Setford.

"Negotiations are ongoing; Ajax sources view Setford as a top prospect, but his present contract expires in June 2025.

"England U20 GK keen on the move," Romano tweeted on Thursday.
