Chima Udoye won the ninth season of Nigerian Idol, a reality television singing competition.

He won on Sunday after months of competition against some of Nigeria's top vocalists.

The grand finale began with all ten candidates performing John Legend's "Glory," followed by special visits by prior reality show champions Progress and Victory Gbakara.

The audience was treated to guest performances by Simi and Chike before the top three finalists, Lammy, Chioma, and Chima, took the stage for their finale performances.

Chima comes away with N30 million cash, a recording agreement that includes a song video, a DSTV Explora with a one-year premium membership, and a brand new SUV.
