Lionel Messi, Argentina's captain, has won the most football titles in history.

Messi played 60 minutes in his country's 1-0 win over Colombia in the 2024 Copa America final.

This is the 37-year-old's 45th trophy in his career.

Messi breaks the record previously held by former Barcelona colleague Dani Alves (44).

Messi won 35 club titles at Barcelona and six with Argentina, including the Copa America 2021 and 2024.

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner also won an Olympic gold medal in Beijing 2008.

Messi won three medals after joining PSG in 2021: Ligue 1 (2021-22), (2022-23), and the Trophee des Champions (2022).

He also won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina and the 2023 League Cup with Inter Miami.
