According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season will follow a complete schedule.

There were speculations that the NPFL was intending to use a shortened format for the new season due to financial difficulties experienced by some clubs.

However, the club's owners have decided to adopt a full-schedule arrangement.

"I can confidently tell you that the 2024/25 NPFL season will be a full format and not an abridged one," Rivers United General Manager Okey Kpalukwu told reporters on the first day of the NPFL annual general meeting in Lagos on Tuesday.

The new season is tentatively set to begin on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
