‘Ladies used to faint during 2Baba’s performances’ – Dayo Adeneye
Dayo 'D1' Adeneye, a music executive, has stated that girls faint when ace musician 2Baba, formerly known as 2Face, performs.
Adeneye, who spoke on comedian Teju Babyface's 'Deep Dive' podcast, described how four women fainted during a performance in Ivory Coast while 2Baba was performing.
The music professional who served as the director of 2Baba's former company, Kennis Music, revealed that at its peak, the label had over 50 musicians on its radar.
"At the peak of Kennis Music, we had over 50 musicians on the label. Lagbaja was signed to us. "We had everyone, from gospel to hip-hop to fuji," he explained.
"We've been to a few gigs where I've witnessed girls faint while 2Face was playing. I went on a tour in the Ivory Coast and took a girl on stage, who hugged 2Face and passed out. Four girls fainted at the concert.
"These were non-English speakers who knew the lyrics to all of his songs word for word. In this francophone country, four females fainted. We believed it was a prank, but an ambulance had to transport them. They passed out only because they were in the presence of 2Face.
