'Proud to see Naija boys thriving on global stage': DJ Cuppy honors Rema, Asake, and others.

Florence Otedola, alias DJ Cuppy, a popular disc jockey, has voiced her admiration for the foursome of Nigerian afrobeats musicians Asake, Rema, Ruger, and Shallipopi, who recently made their debut at the UK's Wireless Festival.

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the Nigerian afrobeats trio wowed visitors on various nights of the 2024 Wireless Festival in London.

DJ Cuppy, who also performed at the festival, rushed to social media to thank and praise Rema, Asake, Ruger, and Shallipopi on their outstanding performances.

She said on her X account, "I have to hail all my brothers, o!" Congratulations to @asakemusik, @heisrema, @shallipopi_, and @rugerofficial for their standout performances at #WirelessFestival.

"I'm proud to watch our Naij guys shine on the global stage. Carry last for where?!"

Ayra Starr and Burna Boy recently made history by being the first African artists to perform on the main stage of Glastonbury, the UK's most famous festival.

During their Glastonbury performance, the British outfit Cold Play also brought out famed Nigerian afrobeat musician Femi Kuti.
