Ayra Starr, a Nigerian musician, has professed respect for her colleague Rema.

She referred to him as her closest friend and "GOAT."


The 'Rush' singer revealed that Rema influences her much.

In a recent interview with Munch Music, Starr stated: "Of all the renowned individuals I know, who would I say is my closest friend? I'd say somebody who continues to inspire me. And he's such a fantastic friend and brother.

"I wouldn't call him a mentor, but he is doing the same thing I do, and he has been here before me. And he knows how to move. He continues to inspire me. It's Rema.

"A shoutout to Rema." That is my all-time greatest. That is my boyfriend. "That is my friend."
