Two Nigerian Idol competitors, Rosy and Joszef, got engaged on stage during the event on Sunday.

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the music competition show is nearing its finish, with eliminations reducing the number of contestants to only a few.

However, on the final elimination night, audiences saw the first live romantic engagement on the show.

On its official Instagram page, the Nigerian Idol described the proposal as a surprise.

The show shared the trending video, writing: "Last night on #NigerianIdol, we said goodbye to Maio, but we witnessed a surprise proposal live on stage."
