Onyekachi Okafor has sent an emotional message to his old team Heartland following his departure to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers.

Okafor expressed gratitude to the Naze Millionaires for making his two-year stay a success.

"For every stage that has a beginning also has an end, today I have to say a goodbye to Heartland FC," Okafor said with X.

I'd like to thank everyone who has believed in and supported me since my first day at the club.

"It's been two years since I joined the club and I take values of the learning, the up n downs and some wonderful people with me, will never forget you guys."

Okafor had seven goals for Heartland in the NPFL previous season.
