Napoli manager Antonio Conte has dismissed Victor Osimhen from his team for a pre-season friendly against Egnatia on Sunday evening.

Osimhen has been left out, and his future with the Serie A club remains unknown.

Conte is waiting for the Super Eagles striker to leave the club before replacing him with Romelu Lukaku.

In a post on X, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote: "Victor Osimhen is not even on the bench for Napoli tonight as both parties' plans are obvious.

"Osimhen wants to depart, and Napoli wants to bring in Lukaku.

"Talks with PSG have been on hold since Monday due to present conditions.

"Chelsea like Osimhen but won't pay the clause."
