NPFL enters collaboration contract with Sevilla, a LaLiga club.

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has formed a relationship with Spanish club Sevilla FC.

Gbenga Elegbeleye, the NPFL chairman, inked the agreement during a visit to the club's facilities in Spain.

The alliance will offer advise on sports and other aspects of sports development, with a particular emphasis on coach training and developing the talent of young Nigerian athletes.

"There are 20 clubs in the Nigerian Premier League, and each has its own junior academy. "I am familiar with Sevilla FC's history and track record," Elegbeleye revealed during his visit.

"This is an excellent club that has won trophies in Spain and Europe for many years. I believe that Nigeria can gain from their development approach and youth development programs.

"We believe that the greatest players from the Nigeria Youth League would be able to train here each season. When they return, they can improve their game with your assistance and teaching.

"We also have a training agreement with our coaches, which will benefit us. It's a win-win situation for everyone in the NPFL."
